ABOUT CLAUDIA FRANKS
I have always had a love for photography, when I got my first camera I was so excited. You know those film throw away ones. I took photo after photo the first day that I got it, more taking photos of family, friends and when we were out and about.
I had the opportunity later in my school years to do Photography as a subject, we learnt about how to take photographs using black and white film, how to develop it, being in the dark room and processing the film and photographs and I fell in love. We did a small amount of Digital Photography but the main part was film photography and the pioneers that made photography.
Once out of school, I still loved photography but it took a back seat as life happens. You get caught up in working to pay the bills and that tends to become the fore front of your mind. I ended up meeting my now husband and he bought me my first Digital Camera which I still have to this day.
Digital Photography was new to me at this point and I started to learn about the camera and started with the stock lenses that came with it. I took many photos and was marvelled how I could capture and place them onto a computer to look at anytime I wanted.
I decided that I wanted to pursue Photography and Completed my Diploma in Photography in 2015. After that I stopped photographing for a while and have been slowly building back into it over a number of years.
I got presented with an opportunity to hold my first photography exhibit and decided then and there that this is what I truly want to do.
My husband and I now travel around Australia, while I work and we get a chance to visit some amazing places and I get to take photographs on the side.
